Retired Membership

Teaching isn't just a job. It's our life.

Retired Membership is available to former members no longer employed, at least forty-five years of age, who were used for at least five years in a position qualifying for active membership. As a UEA-Retired member, you maintain all of the UEA and NEA member benefits you enjoyed as an active member, plus some additional benefits designed for retired members.

In Memoriam

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of David Van Langeveld in April 2024. He served as the first President of UEA-Retired and former president of the Davis Education Association. David's leadership and dedication to education were an inspiration to all who knew him. For those wishing to read more about his life and contributions, click here to view his obituary.
