2011 Charles E. Bennett Human and Civil Rights Award
The UEA Charles E. Bennett Human and Civil Rights Award is presented annually in conjunction with the UEA Honor Roll Awards. Awards are presented at a special event during the UEA Convention and Education Exposition to an individual who has engaged in human and civil rights activities that have benefited education and had community-wide impact.
Selection Criteria:

The nominee may be an educator or non-educator working in the area of human and civil rights.

The nominee must have provided outstanding service to education in the area of human and civil rights and engaged in human and civil rights activities that have had a community-wide impact.
- The nominee must be a UEA member if eligible for membership.
Nomination Information:
The individual(s) or group(s) wishing to nominate an honoree may develop a file of documents, newspaper clippings, and other supportive materials substantiating the nomination to accompany the nomination form.
The nomination deadline for the 2012 Charles E. Bennett Human and Civil Rights Award will be posted here as soon at it is set. The deadline is typically in September.
